Euro Campaign
Introduction
Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council has initiated a strategy to encourage and facilitate traders throughout the council area to become 'euro-friendly' i.e. to accept euro currency from customers who are visiting the area from Europe and the south of Ireland.
It is felt that greater acceptance of the euro would have a positive effect on the local economy and ultimately make the borough more welcoming to visitors.
Mission
To promote the Dungannon and South Tyrone borough as a 'Euro friendly zone' in order to maximise trading opportunities for local businesses across the border and within Europe
To encourage and facilitate local businesses throughout the council area to adopt the euro as a second currency.
